At some point, just about everyone asks "Who is Wolfman?" So we wanted to give you a little background on Senior Lobo
Fred Wolf AKA "Wolfman" or "Wolfie" as his friends call him is the mind and talent behind our high-tech video blogs, multimedia and website. His team has been involved in and has provided advanced web solutions to various industries for two decades. But to us he is more than just a web guru and multimedia expert. Fred is also very serious about health, training and fitness. When Fred met one of the founders of PULSE he was teaching Martial Arts out in the Mulholland Hills in San Fernando Valley CA and was very passionate about his programs. His favorite was the "Community outreach gang reform program" where he would use Martial Arts training and discipline to help kids stay out of gangs and off the streets.
As an ex-fighter/boxer he understands the discipline it takes the human body to stay in shape and maintain strength, conditioning and stamina. When he transferred from Los Angeles Valley College to USC Film School for a working certificate in Motion Picture Science, he used his talent in the boxing and fighting field to help pay for his rather expensive tuition as a student on an F-1 foreign student visa. Originally hailing from the Middle East and having traveled to many countries in Europe and West Africa, Fred has a keen insight on different styles of working out, health and physical awareness. "As a kid I liked all sports from team sports such as Soccer and Volleyball all the way to competitive one on one sports like Tennis. Later I wanted more challenging contact sports and got into Martial Arts and Boxing" says Fred.
His recent motorcycle accident at the end of 2007 proved to be a harsh test for him but his years of physical training, power lifting and conditioning proved useful in his quick recovery. "I believe it was 1/3 my training, 1/3 my genetic build from a pure Persian background and 1/3 pure spiritual bliss" explains Fred. He has used a healthy diet, a strong exercise plan combining weight lifting, Martial Arts and cardio to bring himself to 80% in one year recovery when doctors thought he would reach that level in three years. "I don't let doctors dictate my level of recovery. I do my own rehab exercises for my damaged shoulders, hips and rib cage area. I just don't like all the weight I gained due to the medication I was on the first half of the year but I am very resolute and will eventually go back to my old shape". Fred will be contributing to this section of the blogs on PULSE on the subjects of health, fitness and self defense. He is very excited about this project and knows this website has already become a great communication tool to bring people of all sorts together and has inspired and empowered them.
We look forward to Fred's upcoming blogs and encourage everyone to send in questions or suggestions for blog topics they would like to see covered by all of us.
